Fellowship Dinner - June 19
Dinner Party Groups are back!
Join the fun at our monthly church supper in the Fellowship Hall at 6 PM on Wednesday, June 19. Details to come!
Summer Study Series (VBS for Grownups) - June 24-27
Vacation Bible School for adults? You bet! Please join us in the Fellowship Hall June 24-27 at 6 PM for a light supper, and 6:30 for presentations and discussion with Dr. Jerry Sumney, of Lexington Theological Seminary. Throughout this four-night series, Dr. Sumney will engage participants in the question, “What are we to make of Jesus?”
Exploring some of the things being said about Jesus today, participants will discuss how those ideas relate to what is said about Jesus in the New Testament. In that process, those gathered will discuss how ideas about Jesus and the meaning of his ministry and death developed in the earliest church.
Everyone is invited to enjoy a light supper at 6 PM, with the program starting at 6:30 PM and adjourning by 8 PM. Childcare will be provided. Registration is not required; the meal and program are free and open to everyone.
Lunch Bunch - June 27
Join our monthly Lunch Bunch gathering at 12 Noon on Thursday, June 27, Logan's Roadhouse in Frankfort. All are welcome! For more information, call Bill Leroy at (502) 249-1419. See the Lunch Bunch Facebook page for details.
SFPC is organizing small group gatherings with an emphasis on food and fellowship, every two months for half a year. Groups are formed based on sign ups, and may be a mixture of couples and singles with a target size of around eight individuals per group. Groups will plan their own dinners - hosted, potluck, carry-out or dine-in - whatever sounds good to the group.
The same groups will meet for dinners in March, May, and July, giving them a chance to get to know each other better. After that, new groups will be formed for the fall/winter. Contact Ellen Collins or Brent Sweger to learn more. Let's break bread together!
VBS for Kids - July 26-27
Plans are coming together for children's Vacation Bible School on the evenings of July 26 and 27, with hopes that the children will come back for a special time during church on Sunday, July 28. Check back for more information.
